Oregon Bleg

Anybody live in Oregon? Have opinions about the place? What’s it like to live there, climate, culture, different areas of the state, etc. – any information appreciated.

  1. You’d hate it in Oregon. I suggest you look eastward. Far, far away from the Pacific NW.

  2. Dude, I am so moving in right next door to you. With an 80-foot American flag flying on a 300-foot pole, and daily meetings of my Woman-Hater’s Birth Control Ban club. In the front yard.

    Where we park the Hummers.

  3. Hey, as long as you know how to properly care for and show respect for the flag, I’m cool with that. The city may have a problem w/ the 300 foot pole though – damned big gubmint and their airport influenced zoning laws.

Washington has many more Hummers than Oregon, so you might try there. WA also has plenty of military bases so that you can thrill to the sound of artillery all night long.

Really, though, you sound like a Florida kind of guy to me.

  4. My flag will have speakers that play “Proud to be an American” 24/7.

Actually I’m a pretty good neighbor. I even return misdelivered mail instead of opening it and looking for money – and around here, that’s a little something called “heroism”.

  5. Forget Oregon. You should come back to income-tax-free Washington. Specifically Vancouver, so that you can do all your shopping in sales-tax-free Portland.
